Pensions, salaries, rentals or investments outside Spain: we declare them correctly, apply double taxation relief and file the asset reports you need.
What it is
Once you are a Spanish tax resident, generally after spending more than 183 days a year here or having your main economic interests in Spain, you declare all your income, wherever it comes from, in your Spanish return.
That includes foreign pensions, salaries, rental income and investment returns. Tax treaties and the double taxation credit prevent you from paying twice, but only if they are applied correctly.
We prepare your Spanish return every year, explain each step in English and keep track of your foreign assets reporting.
Included
Your yearly return, with the foreign part handled properly.
Tell us what you need and we will tell you what applies to you and what it costs.
In detail
You are generally resident if you spend more than 183 days in Spain in a calendar year, or if your main business or economic interests are here. Your spouse and minor children living in Spain can also create a presumption of residency.
If your income was already taxed abroad, Spain allows a credit for that tax, with limits. Tax treaties decide which country can tax each type of income.
If you hold accounts, investments or property abroad, or crypto held abroad, worth more than €50,000 in any category, you must report them by 31 March. It is an information return, not a tax.
The Spanish income tax campaign runs from early April to 30 June.
